Ruff House Pet Resort offers several training programs designed to meet the needs of all our customers. Whether you choose Private Lessons, Camp and Train, Board and Train, or Puppy Playgroup we offer a program that is right for you! We want to help you socialize your dog, teach him basic commands, listen to you when off leash, and ultimately become a well mannered and enjoyable dog for you and your family. The best way to achieve these results is to teach obedience and behavior modification, through positive reinforcement techniques. Training provides structure and a foundation that you can build on for many years!

Board and Train

Let your dog spend a few weeks at Ruff House Pet Resort and you will be glad that you did! In addition to fun filled days of ball chasing, group play, and pool time he will receive a private lesson, with a dedicated trainer, on a daily basis. Our goal is to build a solid training foundation through correction of bad behaviors and rewards for good behavior. We use positive reinforcement for motivation and conditioning. Upon check-out you will receive a private session that includes watching the trainer with your dog, details for follow up, question and answer session, and scheduling of your final at home review lesson!

Camp and Train

Camp and Train is a great way to socialize your dog and to provide him the structure of a daily training program with a dedicated trainer. While at training camp, he will be able to chase the ball, play in a group, and learn appropriate social behavior. He will be taught obedience and manners for practical use in every day situations. Camp and Train includes two (or three) consecutive weeks of day care and training, with regular homework assignments for the owner, and a final check out lesson. This allows you daily interaction with your dog and lets you see his progress. Camp and Train is a fun way for your dog to receive structured training while exercising, having fun, and making new friends!

Private Lessons

A Ruff House Pet Resort trainer will meet with you to discuss your dog’s behavior issues and work out a training plan that is right for you. You will receive one-on-one lessons and work on specific issues that are relevant to you and your dogs needs. Help with off leash training, housebreaking, excessive barking, and jumping are some of our most common training requests. We are skilled at working with dogs on advanced training issues and will be glad to discuss your particular needs or concerns. Private lessons will help you build a strong bond with your dog and let you become the pack leader that he will look to for guidance and direction.

Puppy Playgroup

Puppies need socialization! The best thing you can do for your puppy is to introduce him to a group of other puppies and let him play ball, games, and learn how to interact with other dogs. Ruff House Pet Resort provides a safe and controlled environment with indoor and outdoor yards for play. Dogs form habits and become conditioned at a young age. Early introduction to a social setting is a great way to set the tone for lifelong happiness with your dog.

**Requirements: (puppies must be 10-16 weeks of age and have at least the first 2 sets of shots. Proof of vaccinations is required)
