Marti and her staff are top notch professionals who really do care about my little puppy dog. I have 3 dogs who all have spent many days and nights at Ruff House while I was away at work or on vacation. They were so great I never really thought twice about letting them stay there. When I would start to miss them or was curious how they were doing I just logged onto their website and watched them on the web cameras. My dogs tail's were always wagging and the staff would be petting them or playing with them.
My only complaint is maybe they are take too good of care of my dogs! I think my doggies like staying at Ruff House better than my own house. But I guess that's not a big problem, I'll just continue to take them to Ruff House to play!

January 10, 2012 WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE RUFF HOUSE YELP Review -Jessica Headley
Last month, we rescued a sweet shy and timid malti-poo off the streets. She is all heart. However, our 13 year-old Shih Tzu (Queen Bee), was not thrilled at the unplanned addition. We had to leave Daisy in her playroom during the day, only for her to be bored and Keisha to hear her whining. Our (Cancer Sign) Keisha was always more than content at home curled up moving from bed to bed. Little 18 month old Daisy was clearly not!
Then, I found Ruffhouse! Daisy Mae was uncertain Day 1. Curious but a little cautious by Day 2. Happy, Light on her feet, and tail up by Day 3. This daycare has already done wonders for her confidence and self-development. I see improvements every day. Her self-esteem is blossoming and it is so encouraging to watch her on the webcam growing every day!
That truly is, The best testament to facilities like this. She follows around the staff in the play yards devotedly. She completely adores one of the female caretakers- her name escapes me now and we are pretty sure she has a crush on at least one of the guys :) Less than 2 miles from where I work 4 ten hour shifts, they open early and close late- Perfect for my hours. And most importantly, perfect for the Daisy Mae.

The staff is super-nice and very, very kind to the dogs. They greet our dog at the door, and he is off, tail wagging the entire time. We get to watch him play in supervised play yards all day on the doggie-cams, and the suites are spacious, comfortable and very, very clean. Sound-proof as well, so they can get a good nights sleep. The grooming has always been great, and we have a German Shepherd with LOTS of fur! By far, this is the BEST place around, and I am very happy to leave my boy here. They treat him and all the other dogs as their own. He is always happy when we pick him up. We travel often, and he always stays here. Thank you Marti and the rest of the staff for loving our Attix just as much as we do!

I can't say enough good things about Ruff House! The facility is clean and well-maintained and the staff is very attentive to the dogs. I feel very comfortable knowing my dog is in good hands with them when I need him to stay for the day. I rarely go anywhere without my dog; he's my constant companion, but when I do need to place him in someone else's care, Ruff House make me feel very secure that he's being cared for well and having fun!

Whenever I need to go out of town or anticipate a long day away from home, I know my doggies will have fun at Ruff House Pet Resort. I have a 4 year old Mastiff who is a bit timid but he seems to have lots of fun with the other dogs and the staff when he stays there. Our Lab, needless to say has fun wherever he goes but Ruff House is like his Disneyland. A pool to dip in on the hot day and lots of furry friends to romp with. And the added bonus is that you can watch them play on the web cam and check in on them daily! The staff is great. They are very friendly and make you feel at ease when you are dropping off your dogs. My dogs are like my children, so it's important to me to know they are in a safe place when I am out of town.
Ruff House will be my go-to boarding facility.

This is my first Yelp review, and I had to sign up just to say amazing things about Ruff House Pet Resort. We adopted our little dog Halo back in August, 2010. We took her to day care at Ruff House as soon as she was old enough and had all her shots! I really wanted my dog to like other dogs, go to the dog park and beach, etc, so Ruff House was a GREAT way to teach her to love and play with dogs. I think Halo would be scared of other dogs if it wasn't for Ruff House!Sadly, Halo is home by herself during the day while we're at work. She's got a ton of energy, and needs to get it out! So we take her to Ruff House as often as we can afford to. She gets so excited when we get there. She loves all the Ruff House employees! And she's totally exhausted from so much play time when she gets home!
It seems like Ruff House takes great care of her! She always seems healthy and happy when we get her back. I wish we could bring her every day!!

We repaired all the lawn sprinklers at Ruff House Pet Resort.That's how we stumbled upon this place. What a great find. If you have to go away and need a babysitter for your dogs, this is the place. I give it 10 stars. We went out of town for a couple of days and we took our 2 dogs there. We have a dachshund and a terrior. Dachshunds are known to be a 1 person dog, so I was a little worried. They really had a blast. When I picked them up their demeanor was calm and content. Ruff House also has a web camera you can watch your dogs on your computer while you are away.

My dogs, Chopin and Xena had such a great time. Chopin specifically isn't well socialized and they took the time to make sure he could play in a small group so he could begin to better socialized. They didn't have to do that and considering he's a large dog (120lbs), that is a lot of extra work. Xena is an older gal (12 years) and enjoys other dogs, so they made sure she went right into the larger play group while they were working with Chopin. When Chopin began missing his sister (they've never been separated), the Ruffhouse noticed this immediately and brought her to him so they wouldn't be apart. Ruffhouse was so good to my dogs, it is obvious they care about them like children.
Chopin and Xena will be returning and I'd recommend the Ruff House to anyone with dogs.

We decided to bring our energetic 10-month-old Australian Shepherd puppy to Ruff House after he chew the coffee table, tore up books, and more. It has been the best experience! He gets to play all day with other dogs, and our house stays tidy. The web cams are great and the facility is clean but the greatest thing about Ruff House is the staff.
I really feel they love our doggy as much as we do!

We travel alot so we were thrilled to have finally found a fun, safe, clean and caring resort for our puppy "Tico". When we're away, our son (3 years old) loves looking at the live webcam and seeing Tico at play with other dogs. It's like our dog is on vacation too! Last month, while in Costa Rica, Tico celebrated his 2nd birthday with all of his pup friends! We forgot it was Tico's bday but Ruff House didn't!! Not only do they provide great service with special touches, it's where we go for training too.

I live in North Orange County, have a condo in Palm Desert, and Ruff House is just off the 60 fwy. I have been dropping off my Havanese for the weekend for almost 3 years now. I watch her play on the video cameras the whole time. She has lots of fun! Everybody there is nice and they are open all day on Sundays. I started getting her groomed before I pick up. The staff is warm, welcoming and friendly, and genuinely care about the animals. The facilities are clean, bright, safe and FUN for the dogs. They focus on both the physical and emotional well-being of the animals and create a healthy "pack" environment. The video web-cams allow you to "check in" and watch your dog play, and you always get a detailed update on your dog at the end of his/her stay. To top it all off... the pricing is affordable! I would pay more for the service and attention our boy receives, but I am glad that here I don't have to!

I have only been going to Ruff House Pet Resort for a short period of time, but from the first time I took the tour I knew it was going to be a place for my four month old Cocker Spaniel. He loves being with the other pets, playing and running all over the place, it helps him to be a social pet. He is now doing the 2 week training and boarding with Michelle Ringler, and my husband and I are sooo excited. I have a 15 year old dog that I wish we could have done the same thing, but had no idea they had stuff like this for puppies and dogs. I was searching the internet one day for doggie daycare and/or training for puppies, because my pup was a HANDFUL and this was going to be my last resort, Rosco has improved in just the few times he has been to Ruff House Pet Resort, and to think I wanted to give him away, never in my wildest dreams now. The hours are perfect, and they are open 7 days a week, we just love it, and to top it off I can check on him with the webcams when he is there!! I love it. =0}

I have been boarding at Ruff House for a few months now. I took a tour of several places before deciding where to leave Mimosa. The place is extremely clean, well kept, and the staff is friendly. I really liked that they put her in the play yard for a bit so I could see how she would react to the other dogs when I took the tour. I never worry when I leave her at Ruff House, they take great care of her.

We put our two Boston terriers there for the night, and it was really cool how you can watch them in the play yard on their live video. I was able to watch my dogs play from my iPhone! I knew they were ok and enjoying themselves. They bathed our dogs for only $15 extra, and they got to enjoy all kinds of activities.
We will definitely leave our dogs there again.

I cannot say enough good things about Ruff House. My dog, Gorby, has been going nearly all of his 3 years and much of his social development can be attributed to the good dogs and fabulous staff at Ruff House. They provide a socially rewarding and fun environment for dogs of all sizes and personalities.Gorby is literally jumping out the window blocks before I even arrive. Beyond their fantastic basic services, you really get the feeling that the staff cares and is concerned about each and every dog. Peace of mind is so important when you're away from your animal and he's in the care of others. Recently, while traveling internationally, Gorby became very sick and needed emergency vet care--I was amazed (though in hindsight, not surprised) to hear that the staff at Ruff House had called my parents to see how he was recovering. Their prices are exceptionally reasonable (and even include goodies like student discounts). In short, it's not hyperbole to suggest that Ruff House is the best boarding kennel (I hesitate to call it a kennel, it's so much more) in Southern California--well worth the drive wherever you are to make sure that when you're off having fun, your pooch is too!

I go to the grooming part of the Ruff House Pet Resort facility. I have been using Cassie as my groomer for my dog Spencer for almost 2yrs. I followed her from another place as she has an excellent repore with Spencer. I am one of those anal pet owners who are extremely picky as to who touches my dog. She is the only one that I will let groom my dog. Spencer seems to be very comfortable with her. When he got very sick and had to be isolated from other dogs, Cassie came in to work an hour and half early to groom him, which was very early in the morning. She is very intune to all is medical/injury problems. I would recommend her to everyone.

I have been using Ruff House to keep my dogs for every vacation for the past three years. I wouldn't consider leaving my buddies anywhere else! Having Ruff House allows me the peace of mind to enjoy my vacation time. I know my dog will be well cared for, have other dogs with which to play and won't bark and bother my neighbors while I am away. I used five different kennels before finding Ruff House. Each one was a nightmare. At the other places, my dogs were stuck in a concrete and chain link cage by themselves and basically ignored for the entire time I was away. It was like doggy solitary confinement. Don't worry about the price, for just slightly more than the prison-type kennels, you can leave your dog at Ruff House and enjoy your time away without having to worry or feel guilty that your dog is suffering.

My terrier (terror) Joanie decided to dig a hole in mud. She had mud all over her face and her body. I called and was able to bring her in ASAP. Dropped her and my other dog off for daycare at 11 since they were a little backed up. They finished grooming her by 3 PM. Cassie did an AMAZING job. She met every request I had and was still able to finish so I could get to my appointment at 4 even though I didn't have a set appointment for that day. Joanie came home with a bath, a haircut, and her nails did for $45. Hopefully my little terror doesn't go playing in the mud again.

I honestly couldn't be happier with leaving my dachshund, Buddy, at Ruff house while we are at work. Buddy initially began there for Camp & Train with Michelle. Michelle couldn't have been anymore kind, helpful, and loving towards Buddy. I assumed that because she was training him he would despise the time he spent there, but that couldn't be any further from the truth. I would recommend her training to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy person, who truly cares about your dog. -The training works! Buddy absolutely loves her, and was excited to see her and the staff every single day. His manners have since improved from a dog with no foundation, to a dog who listens and is eager to learn. Camp and training ended, but I continue to bring Buddy to Ruffhouse for the daycare because he loves it there so much. The facility is always clean, the staff is more than friendly and helpful, and I honestly have peace of mind when he is there, because the staff has shown time and time again, how kind they all are to all the dogs that attend.
I was recommended to Ruffhouse, and I have since done, and will continue to do the same :-)

‎ My husband and I have been in the area for two months while he received proton radiation treatment for prostate cancer at Loma Linda Medical Center. The treatment is not too debilitating and we had a lot of free time to explore the SoCal area. It was great to find Ruff House for both day care and boarding on weekends. Our Welsh Corgis, Maggie & Oliver, were always eager to go play with their friends - Oliver for the dogs, Maggie for the people - and always pulled my arm off to get inside when we arrived - a true testament to the atmosphere there.

Marti and her staff show Gorda the same love that she gets at home. Jesse and Emilio treat her like she is their own and every time she seems them she goes crazy. Cassie groomed my baby and she did it BETTER than I imagined!! My request was so simple, but they just went ABOVE AND BEYOND. As soon as I dropped Cozette off and they gave her a big hug, I knew that they would love her like I love her. They only took a few hours (not like so many groomers that keep them all day) and I just knew that they took great care of her. Aside from being so loving to my baby, they were just so professional and did an amazing job grooming her. She had: -the best cut -she smelled great -she had an AMAZINGLY cute bandanna on and -they painted her nails, too!!! Just perfect. There are so many other things they did for her, too, that I'm sure I overlooked, but all I know is she looked great. I recommend this groomer to anyone who wants to leave their precious puppy in good hands and have them coming back looking amazing.‎

I love taking my monster here while I'm @ work.. Rebel is my 9 month doberman, full of energy, sweet, & just loves to play. I feel so much better while I'm @ work I hate leaving him home alone. He plays, watches a movie with the staff during break time & he love his peanut butter honey ice cream snack. The staff is friendly & is awesome with Rebel, I know he will be well taken care of everytime I leave him there. When we arrive home Rebel is knocked out from his day of fun. Ok, never would I have thought that I'd be bringing my Maltese/poodle mix baby to a doggy day care, but since she is my only dog I felt so guilty with her trying to entertain herself at home by causing all sorts of mischeif (she is an unofficially certified sock and underwear stealer who likes to bury them in the backyard, and she'll shred ANYTHING to pieces and leave them on the bedroom floor for mommy to discover when I get home from work). The last straw was when I came home to her rendition of that scene from the original Beethoven, complete with muddy paws, pillows, and down comforter. She looked so damn cute though, I only wish I had taken more pictures of the muddy massacre. Anyway, back to Ruff House. I decided to start taking my dog there once a week to see how it all went. By the 2nd time I took my baby here, they already knew my name and my baby's name. I work up the street and have a crazy school schedule in between so it's nice to know that she's close by and getting quality care. The live web cameras that are available give me peace of mind that she's enjoying herself and overcoming the separation anxiety. Oh and may I give some BIG PROPS to the lady who groomed my baby. I had taken her before to Petco and they did the crappiest job imaginable, plus they didn't do as I specifically asked by plucking her ears or trimming under her paws. When I picked up my baby from daycare after her grooming, I can't believe how well-groomed and gorgeous she looked (plus I'm sure she was super happy to get rid of the uneven cut mommy did) and for the price they charged? More affordable than Petco and a WAY better job. So kudos to Ruff House and staff, I'll be bringing my baby here every week for as long as you are open for business!

When your looking for somewhere to take care of your pets, you can go cheap and pay about $12-$15 a night or you can go here. The difference is worth every penny. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Ruff House. I've been bringing our animals here for years, back when it was Wagon Wheel. The staff are amazing and are great with my two dogs. I have a Great Pyrnees and a small mix breed. My big dog doesn't like to be bothered by others and they are great dealing with him. He is the most amazing dog with people but other dogs that want to bug him will get his nasty side.
Love this place and will continue to give them my business.

The staff is always friendly and accommodating. My 14mo. old Doberman Pinscher loves going and playing with the other dogs. It's much better than having her stay at home without anyone to play with. She has had to take medication while boarding, and it has never been a problem (and no added fee). At the end of the stay they always give a note detailing how she did while there. It's a nice little touch. I do recommend ordering a bath if your dog stays for more than one night, or giving him/her one as soon as (s)he gets home because they can get very dirty/ smelly from playing all day. Make sure if you're a student, military, or senior that you ask for the 10% discount. It really adds up! Overall, a great place. I would recommend Ruff House to anyone.‎

I have been using Ruff House for Angus since he was a puppy, about a year and a half. He is a mixed breed Lab/shepherd/something that I got from PetSmart.He is 85 pounds of playful energy. He has more energy then I do. I drop him off 2 ot 3 days a week while I am at work and he has a ball! He comes home exhausted! It has been so good for him to play with other dogs. he is well socialized. The staff at Ruff House really care about the dogs. They know their names and take good care of them.I tell people about the 2 hour nap time in temperature controlled kennels indoors with piped in music. They are amazed that a place like this exists. I will leave him there for the day even when I am no longer working. I have gotten good advice about training and his stages of development including the "terrible twos". I will never board him anywhere else. Ruff House is unique because of the play groups. Angus gets to be a dog with a pack. I also like that they have a tread mill. Maybe I will get him on my treadmill at home so he does not become overweight. Thank You Ruff House.
Angus does not even look back when I drop him off, it is funny.

When our baby got sick we took him to vet it was there we saw a business card from ruff house i said wow when we go somewhere we need to consider where can he go and be safe and well taken care of well the opportunity came up we had a party at our house and we didn't want him to suffer or get yelled at don't you know this is our baby that does no wrong and yes we sent him to ruff house and we worried cause he wasn't around any other dogs not sure how he would react and well it went well love the fact you are close by and you always give us a report care of how he did and course the fact that he comes home exhausted in a good way makes us know if we ever go on long trip or a trip at all he will be well taken care of thank you so much for the tender love and care you give him and the piece of mind you give us to know he is going to be okay .. keep up the good work.....Zorro will keep going there thank you again for your great staff!!!‎

At the ripe old age of 11 we decided to have our dog boarded for the first time. I was a bit concerned - he has "german shepherd hips" and too much play and activity makes him sore, but he does love to play and get attention. Ruff House provided him with the perfect combination of play and rest -- enough that he had a great time, but not so much as to give him pain. Wonderful!!! Also, we loved being able to watch him on the webcam set up in the play yard. Seeing his tail wagging and his ears perked up let us know that even though we hated to leave him, he was having a wonderful time at Ruff House. We have brought him back again for a last-minute weekend boarding, and again was a warm, positive experience. Thanks again Ruff House for your excellent care!!!!‎

Our dog doesn't always play well with other dogs and would have to be kept seperate from the other dogs so when we were searching for a place to board him we were afraid he would be stuck away in a small cage and be left there until we came back for him (which happened once, it was terrible). But then we found the Ruff House. They had a nice big area for Stitch to be in and they took him out every day for play time, he had a nice bed to sleep in and the staff was really great with him. We really value and appreciate how well they take care of our dog.‎

I am writing this for my dog Bodie; I am a 10 1/2 year old Australian Shepherd. A year or so ago my boy graduated from college and moved away. Shortly after that we moved from the only home and back yard I ever knew to a new one. I couldn't sleep at night, lost 10 pounds and was very nervous. Don't tell anyone but I also bit 3 people shortly after that. A friend told my mom about Ruff House and suggested I could use some activity during the day. I started coming in February of 2009 and I am born again! I come 2-3 times a week, but wish I could come every day. I have gained a little weight back, sleep like a log after my day of fun and have met new friends. It really has put me in a better mood all the way around. I would recommend Ruff House to any of you dogs out there. It's really a cool place to hang out at. I love all the boys who take care of me, but I do have a special soft spot for Miles. He reminds me of my boy. If you ever see me in the yard I am the Aussie with FOUR legs, but don't try to pet me I still have a slight problem with biting, something about old age.

My dog Max has been going to Ruff House Pet Resort for a few months now and just loves playing with the other dogs. When we will park he jumps out of the car and is already at the door ready to go play before I can even get out of the car. The staff is really great and know Max the moment he walks in. The customer service is also really wonderful, the girls that work the counter are friendly and seem very in tune with my dog even though there are hundreds of dogs there. They make me feel like Max is special customer. I definitely would recommend this place for anyone looking for day care, boarding and socialization for their dog.‎

My Cockapoo Miles has been attending Ruff House Pet Resort since its inception 4 years ago. Our transition with the former owner to the current owner was virtually seamless and has since succeeded in raising the bar. It means so much to me to know that my dog is being cared for by people who clearly love what they do. My assurance is confirmed each time we approach the gate and Miles begins his prance from the front of car to the back of the car to the front of the car again, this time landing on my lap with his body pressed firmly against the drivers door eager to get out. Then the pull begins all the way to the front door where he routinely marks his territory at the curb just below the left bush. The excitement doesn't end there. As Miles is greeted by one or more of the staff his tail starts wagging as his body begins this signature wiggle and jiggle, then off he goes with sheer delight. My gratitude far exceeds any hint of jealousy I may experience as I leave with confidence knowing my boy is safe and in really good hands. Finally, the icing on the cake plays out at the end of the day when I pick him up and he's calm, relaxed and content.

I regularly board my young miniature doberman pincher and chihuahua at Ruff House Pet Resort. My lovable doggies are just as much a part of our family as the rest of us. Therefore, I was resistant to the idea of boarding them anywhere! Well, each time that I visit the resort, I am so impressed with the competence of the entire staff. There is not one person there that doesn't show compassion for our pets. The staff is always attentive and caring. The place is spotless clean. The video cams allow one to view their pets live during daylight hours from any internet connection. I watch them from time to time while traveling out of state. There is always direct supervision of the dogs. I have never seen any adverse activity that would worry me about the health and safety of our little kids. This place is fantastic. I take my pug Truman to day care at Ruff House and he loves it! In the mornings before I take him he sits next to me on the couch and stares at me. As soon as I ask him if he wants to go to day care, he starts running around my apartment and barking with joy. In the car ride over he continues to whine until we arrive and then he literally drags me into the place. Ruff House separates the small dogs from the big dogs, which is obviously a good thing and they have plenty of room to run and play. My dog requires a lot of exercise and he really thrives on social interaction with other dogs so finding Ruff House was a real blessing. Furthermore, the staff is extremely friendly as it is obvious that these are people who actually love dogs. That is very important because I think all pet owners want the security of knowing that their pets are with people who actually care for them as opposed to people who are just there to pay their bills. So if you are looking for a place to leave your dog with the knowledge that he or she will be will taken care of and have a great time, you cannot do better then Ruff House. Thanks guys!!

Our Bullie Teddy stayed at the Ruff House for 2 weeks, while we were out of the country. We decided to take the opportunity to try the "Board and Train" program. We left Teddy (our stubborn little puppy!) and in the two weeks we were gone he learned to sit, stay, heel...it was amazing! Not to mention when we came to pick him up the trainer was fabulous, she spent time showing us the commands and how to use positive reinforcement to help Teddy at home too. (Teddy had been through two other programs and neither yielded the kind of solid results that the Ruff House boarding program did) It was so easy...we almost felt guilty! Thank you Ruff House!

Trevor & Emily visit Ruff House frequently! It gives me great peace of mind to have them stay at Ruff House. The staff take great care of them and they have such fun playing with the other dogs, that they don't seem to miss not being at home. When we drive through the gate, they get so excited and run from the car to the door eager to join in the fun. It's like they say "bye mom" without looking back.
